Question:
My German Shepherd is 12 years old and has heartworms. He is currently taking prednisone to make him comfortable. He has become very thin and lathargic. Is it too late to try the treatment you offer? I just became aware of them.
Judy
Answer:
Hi Judy
Thank you for your e-mail. It must be very difficult for you to see your german shepherd so unwell. It is not necessarily too late to treat the heartworm but due to the serious nature of this disease we don’t recommend home treatment.
We suggest you use Parasite Dr. but under the close supervision of a vet or holistic vet who will be able to monitor your dog and advise you further on treatment and the precautions to take during treatment.
Please let us know if there is anything else we can assist you with.
