There are other types of pets that may suit you better than the traditional ones like a dog or a cat. These can include small well-known pets such as mice, hamsters or fish, but can also include more exotic pets like snakes, lizards or even monkeys. The type of pet that may be right for you is strictly a personal choice, but there are too many other types of pets you may want to consider.
Hamsters – The most common type of Hamster that is kept as a pet today is the Syrian Hamster. Although there are other varieties, different varieties go not get along together. Even with the Syrian Hamster it is better to keep one Hamster to itself in a cage as often having more than one will cause fighting.

Because my wife is a toy dog breeder, it isn’t unusual for her to get several calls a week from people who practically beg her to sell them a puppy. They cite their financial and social ability to care for the puppy and often try and avoid the question of children in the household.
As a rule, my wife finds this humorous. People shouldn’t have to beg, fill out a twenty-page adoption application or hide the fact that they have children to purchase a puppy. It’s pet protection gone wild.

While most people have dogs or cats as pets, there are others who prefer exotic animals. At a time when many of these exotic animals are listed on the endangered species list, nonetheless, a variety of animals are captured, traded illegally, and sold to consumers.

Dogs
One of the most lovable of all breeds is the Beagle. They love children, are very social, loyal, intelligent, offer unconditional love, and provide hours of enjoyment. They range in height from 13-16 inches, and are just wonderful watch dogs as well.Â

The Chinchilla is a member of the rodent family originating from the Andes Region of South America.
Characteristics:
The most attractive attribute of a Chinchilla is its push coat. Each hair follicle contains 60-80 hair, 20 to 30 times more than cats and dogs! Add the large button eyes, big round ears and long fluffy tails; it is not surprising that Chinchillas melted many hearts. Chins are nocturnal, spending most of the day dosing. They have no smell, unlike rabbits or guinea pig, so they can make decent apartment pets.

As pet owners and lovers, we all have different needs for pet accessories. The fact that pet accessories are a necessity doesn’t change by the type of pet you have, only the amount and type of accessories will change. All sorts of pet, including dogs, cats, hamsters, birds and even fish, will require them in one form or another.

Like other domesticated animals, your guinea pig needs exercise to help keep him strong, and to help keep his weight under control. Unfortunately, your guinea pig may not be getting the exercise that he needs in order to remain in good health.
The first problem is typically that the guinea pig does not have ample room in his pen. You could literally fill his pen with hundreds of dollars of toys, but he still won’t get proper exercise. What he needs is space. He should have plenty of space to run around.
A popular activity among guinea pigs is running as fast as they can around the interior walls of the pen. If there are too many toys or other items in the way, he is prevented from doing this.
