How to Groom Guinea Pigs

While most small animals don’t compel much grooming, guinea pigs are different. Their teeth, tresses, and nails all oblige some point awareness on a repeated base. A guinea pig’s front teeth persist to grow throughout their full life. If they are permitted to grow lacking any dictate, the guinea pig will find it sorrowful to eat and will, thus, obstruct ingestion altogether.

The best thing you can do is to afford your guinea pig with hard stuff to chew on: carrots and other hard vegetables, chew brushwood or blocks, or even tree twigs. Even while you grant these materials, however, you will neediness to often restrain the guinea pig’s teeth to make reliable they aren’t befitting unmanageable. Check to see if the teeth are rotary inward because this is a billboard of undue tumor.

Just as you have a first aid kit in your home, and hopefully in your car, to help deal with minor emergencies that may occur with you and your family, you should also consider the unexpected needs of your guinea pig and either buy or create a guinea pig first aid kit, which commercially are called Cavy Kits.

A proper cavy kit will contain numerous items designed to help you and your guinea pig through emergencies. Guinea pigs actually can hurt themselves fairly easy, but it usually is minor, and with proper care, should heal quickly.

When you get a Yorkshire Terrier, and you bring it into a home with other pets or when you bring other pets into a home with a Yorkshire Terrier, there are those that will tell you that it’s impossible to say what reaction you may get from the dog. It is true that the reaction is somewhat dependant on the dog’s personality, however for the most part Yorkshire Terriers do get along well with other pets, in most cases.

For the most part, a female Yorkshire Terrier is the most likely to get along with all other pets in the house. The only true exception to this rule is when she has a litter of puppies. At that time, she is likely to become very protective of her litter, and may show aggression towards other animals.

Because my wife is a toy dog breeder, it isn’t unusual for her to get several calls a week from people who practically beg her to sell them a puppy. They cite their financial and social ability to care for the puppy and often try and avoid the question of children in the household.

As a rule, my wife finds this humorous. People shouldn’t have to beg, fill out a twenty-page adoption application or hide the fact that they have children to purchase a puppy. It’s pet protection gone wild.
