I specified that I didn't want the distemper shot. I don't think it's neccessary. He had it when he was young. The doctor came in and without my consent gave him both the rabies and the distemper, big dog sized doses. My dog weighs 7 lbs. He was extremely sick the first week and when he recovered from that he was lame in his front legs. He also got an unexplainable eye infection in the first month which subsided somewhat but then came back this month even worse. His ears have been inflammed as well(very itchy with a strong odor). It's been 2 months and 6 days since he was vaccinated. My dog is not who he was before these vaccinations. I am afraid for him and have been desperately seeking a remedy or remedies this past week to help him get back to where he was. I spoke to the vet in the first 2 weeks. She assured me that this would pass but keep monitoring him. It hasn't passed. I feel that he needs some kind of intervention before this spirals down even more. I'm having a hard time dealing with the fact that the vet gave him the distemper shot without my approval. That was wrong and now my dog is suffering. Does anyone know of anything that could help?

My 12 year old chihuahua went in for his 3 year rabies booster.
