The book was recommended by my catsitter, Shannon Benecke, Bocmeow. I really enjoyed it; it was written as a quick page turner and I was expecting a typical how-to, pet care manual. It was fun, entertaining and heartwarming as well as educational. I especially appreciated how much the author shared her personal experiences.

What an amazing bond Nadine & Buttons have, a bond that many of us have with our pets, but might not have the courage to tell people about. Nadine is a brave and courgeous woman, not just for telling her story, but for so many other reasons, you will discover by reading the book.
I usually read to rleax and put me to sleep, but this story was one that didn’t put me to sleep, instead I couldn’t put the book down and read cover to cover in a day and half!

Once I started reading, I didn’t want to put this book down. To know that others feel the same deep connection to their pets is a wonderful feeling. And little did I know when reading the book that I would soon be caring for a geriatric Newfoundland with canine oral melanoma. Knowing that there are healthy and natural ways to boost his immune system and to help him through the cancer was a relief.
This is a must-read for anyone that has lost a pet or that wants to more fully understand the relationship between a human and a dog.
