Are pills too bitter to swallow for your cat?

One of my favorite Pet Blogs has a great post on how to effectively give meds to your cat without the usual ‘cat fight’ that normally ensues.
As with everything, there’s a trick and believe me, your feline companion will thank you for learning it!
“Giving a pill to my cat! Believe me, for me it’s a hard pill to swallow. It’s pretty tough to tackle these finicky pussies. But if they need those, not so lively, little tit-bits, we have no choice. But don’t expect the cat to follow what you want. Don’t even try it.
“The best and the safest way is to give it with the cream cheese your cat loves or along with any other food. You can try the product, “Pill Pocket” also. But it’ll not always work with your ill and moody cat. Administer the pill directly into the mouth of your feline friend, if she really develops a rare fondness for it. The task will be easier if you lubricate the pill with a bit of butter, especially in case of big capsules.”
