Travel time is upon us. When we start packing up the items we want to take, we have to be sure to think about the dogs. Our dogs are part of the family and go with us.
Just like children, dogs should be safely restrained in a vehicle while traveling. We found a Leash that has one end that clicks in to the seatbelt. The other end has the usual clip and fastens to the harness. We prefer a harness to using the Collars for riding. Cats have been domesticated for a long time. Domesticated cats originated in Africa and the Middle East between 4,000 and 8,000 years ago. There are many different breeds of cats but most popular cats are the non-pedigree or “mutt” cats. You should always investigate the cost before getting any kind of pet.

Ticks are starting to become a real problem in many areas as the weather gets warmer. All the recent rain in the Northeast has caused an especially bad tick population boom.
There are many kinds of ticks, but getting bit by deer ticks is no joke: they carry Lyme Disease and other Tick-Borne Diseases including a red blood cell Parasite. Rocky Mountain spotted fever is spread by the American dog tick, the lone-star tick, and the wood tick. Best to keep ticks far, far away from you and your companion animals and loved ones!

With their spunky independence and willful indifference to practically anything they do, cats make an admirable pet. What else can interact with you on a daily basis and yet spurn you regularly - and make them love you while you do it? The first thing that comes to my mind are my kids. With such similarities, I wonder how a comparison of the two stands up.
1. A cat’s purr soothes most people. A child crying only makes them stare disapprovingly.

Buying a Pet ID tag is like buying insurance - you do so with the devout wish that you’re never going to need it. The “possible cost” of not having a pet ID tag is more expensive than the “actual cost” of buying the pet tag itself.
The type of pet Identification Tag that you buy is important, so take 5 minutes or so to think it through. Impulsively choosing a Collar tag because it’s cheap or cute often proves to be unwise, long-term.

My sister tried to convince me that her dogs are less of a hassle than my kids. While I’m not sure I’ll trade my daughter for a Doberman yet, I thought she made a few good points.
1. Dogs will love you unconditionally forever. Kids will love you unconditionally until they are two; then refusal of candy or Toys will result in a loud, “I hate you!”
